Mr. Whatnot
I was asked to create a poster for an English comedy play "Mr. Whatnot".
The client wanted me to come up 3 main characters from that play.
The main Character, Mr. Mint, a mid-class English man, naive but randy piano tuner causes havoc one summer weekend at the English country house of the Slingsby Craddocks. A very British confection set amongst the upper-class, becoming increasingly surreal as the silent character of Mint attempts to win the affections of their debutante daughter Amanda. Straight away I was thinking combining Mr. Bean, Paul Hunter and Jason Watkins those typical English faces together for the main character Mint.
The setting is in the grounds of Lord & Lady Singsby-Craddock's grand country manor-tennis court, afternoon tea set up on the lawn, rose gardens, tennis match.
Anyway, loads of fun working on this project.
